A couple of times we've stayed at the Pemberton Valley Lodge, 20 minutes from Whistler. It is quite new definately cheaper than most and has a great outdoor jacussi and pool. It's underneath amazing Mt. Currie, a snow covered almost glacier type mountain with bike trails for every level.
