This morning for breakfast I made blue corn blueberry pancakes, with a recipe I recently brought back from a trip to Albuquerque. They were delicious as the firmer texture they provided mixed well with the two handfulls of blueberries I had defrosted earlier in the morning. My wife had the brilliant idea of freezing excess berries on a cookie sheet then bagging them. What a wonderful trick.
We also enjoyed some fresh-squeezed orange juice, to which we had added a bit of tangerine juice left over from cooking a tangering chicken last week. A wonderful combination.
Slices of real creamery butter, and a dollop or two of real Vermont maple syrup rounded out the meal. Along with some hot coffee, mine with cream, hers with Hazelnut creamer.
Hope this whets your appetite to give us a night at the Queen.
We had potato, onion and goat cheese omelette lovingly prepared by my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We topped it off with a nice strong cup of tea and cuddle before he had to head off to work. Sure would have loved it if he could have the day off so we could relax at the beautiful Queen of the Valley Inn!
Peanut Butter toast.
I had the same thing I have had for the past 6 months – nice warm breast milk. I followed it up with a nice long chew on my play gym. I sure would like to win so I can treat my parents to a relaxing weekend away.
For breakfast I ate a PB&J with peach jelly and 2 strips of string cheese.
Thanks for the chance to enter a night’s stay at the La Conner B&B Giveaway!
My husband’s and my breakfast was a hash made from the leftover corned beef and potatoes from St. Pat’s day and some vanilla yogurt with sliced strawberries and blueberries. We both had a cup of tea.. Umm good!
LaConner is a wonderful place! I took a short visit a few years ago to look for the Red Headed Woodpecker but to no avail! Hope I’m chosen so I can resume the search!

La Connor is one of our favorite places to visit, especially during the tulip season. Great food and hospitality at the Calico Cupboard Cafe and Bakery in Old Town.
I had two pieces of spelt toast with Greek honey.
I had a cinnamon roll and coffee and watching the Seahawks ! Can’t get better than that IF they could only WIN !
